Help create my website with photographers and artists in mind.

I want to create a website where photographers and artists can learn there prefered trade. I want to give usefull tips and insite about the industry as well as create job postings in related feilds. I have some good ideas on what I want to have on my site, but I want to know what other people think. Questions: Is this a good idea? And what input do you have?
